Hmm yeeeeah. I realized that my gallery was pretty much just fluff and lurvy things, and found that kind of repulsive. Or maybe that was just the despair of being in school again whispering nasty ideas into my brain. XD
So this is Maedhros, who is one of the many characters in The Silmarillion whose life royally sucks. For those of you who don't know, the gist of his story is that he and his brothers swore the oath of doooom with their father, Feanor, that they would retrieve these jewels that Feanor had made. As the oath continued to be unfulfilled, it became a torment, but the rather atrocious things that were done to try to retrieve the jewels were also a burden, and angst and unpleasantness ensued. This picture was just supposed to be one of the battles he was in without really wanting to be.
My favorite part is the background. The rest I feel kind of meh about.
