I'm not quite sure where the last year went. Maybe where the lost socks from the laundry go?
Regardless, a ton of stuff has been going on. It's kind of one of those things where I've been so busy that I almost haven't noticed all that's happened, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I feel like providing a quick rundown of what has gone on this last year.
1) Last August, I got to go to Vancouver to meet Misha Collins. Yes, that's worth mention, because I mildly worship the brilliance of that man.
2) The beginning of October, I had an interview at my 1st choice medical school. At the end of October (the day before my b-day, in fact) I found out that I was accepted and would thus have the opportunity to become a doctor like I had dreamed of and worked toward for like... 18 years.
3) My family's 12 year old dog, who was the first pet I really had growing up, passed away on Thanksgiving. ...On
Thanksgiving.
4) In December, my family couldn't take being pet-less anymore, and we adopted a little siamese mix kitten we named Willow. She is epic awesomeness: she plays fetch with crumpled paper balls, likes playing peek-a-boo, always runs up and sits outside my bedroom after my alarm goes off in the morning, will sleep on anybody's lap like a baby (like... literally like a baby, in the crook of your arm and everything). She definitely made our house feel like a home again.
5) Took Advanced Fiction Writing in the spring, and during the second half when we broke up into little groups to workshop, I was told that I had some of the best writing in the class. It really renewed my love of writing.
6) I graduated with Distinguished Honors and Magna Cum Laude with my bachelor's degree in Psychology. Like a boss. B)
7) Got to go to A-kon again and spent two weeks with my friend watching the nerdy gamut from the original Star Trek series to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. AND IT WAS AWESOME.
8) In two weeks, I get to move across the country and set up for med school orientation, which starts August 2nd. That is why I am turning out pictures like a crazy person lately.
Aaaaaand... I guess that's kind of a patchwork view of my life at the moment! I hope everybody else is having an enjoyable summer!
